The Open is over and now the training begins. Coach Vince and Coach Barry have been conversing and planning over the next steps to take in order to roll into 2014 more prepared than ever. Coach Vince will begin his Competitor's Training starting this Saturday at 10am. Eventually, the program will be expanding to more than just Saturdays. The competitor's training will be much more in depth this off-season and will be close to an hour to an hour and 1/2 of training time depending on what Coach Vince has programmed for the day. We also have comprised a list of standards that must be met in order for athletes to perform the training. We have named it "CFG Competitor's 12". These 12 standards for both men and women will also help athletes to push themselves further if a few might not be met just yet. Please download the "CFG Competitor's 12" from the link below. Print it out and check off what you meet and what you don't. If you don't meet one, get after it!!
CFG has a large pool of athletes and we want individuals who are willing to dedicate their time and efforts on Saturdays to train at the Competitor's Training. We want consistency every week and not cherry picking what WODs look cool. We must do the things we sometimes don't want to do in order to get better. Trust me, there are some teams, just like us, who missed Regionals this year and will be working just as hard as us. The question is, who wants it more?
