Welcome to all doing the challenge this year! We are so happy to have you with us. There are a little over 40 of us this time around which is amazing. It’s going to be a great one — to kick it all off, we wanted to share a little bit of what we’ve learned over the year with how to be successful with a challenge. Here are the top 5 tips for being successful with the challenge.

  • Open your mind. This is going to be a great learning experience. You’ll learn things about yourself that may or may not surprise you, but either way, self-discovery is an amazing part of these challenges.
  • Prep, plan and stay the course. It’s important to know what your temptations are going to be and how to deal with them. Plan for the week and prep for each day. Be ready for life to throw you curve balls. Make sure you can have a plan B to navigate around it.
  • Network of Support. Surround yourself with positive people that will support your efforts to improve you quality of life. You don’t have time for naysayers. Share your challenge with loved ones and ask for their support. If you don’t have anyone around you for that, lean on this group… we are 40+ strong!
  • Stay Connected. A big way to keep motivation levels up is to stay connected with the group, but also your own goals and reasons for doing the challenge. Remind yourself daily why you chose to do this and stick with it!
  • It’s Not Always Going to Be Easy. Remember, this is called a “challenge” for a reason. It’s not always going to be easy. In the beginning, you might get headaches from cleaning up your food intake. It might even be uncomfortable. Once you get past that initial stage, the clarity and mental sharpness will set in. Energy might be low at first, but it will pick up too. Your body has to cleanse out the toxins first before it can really start to kick booty on this new plan. Ride out the storm.
