The key to not letting the holidays completely derail your health efforts is to get back on track after a party or event as soon as possible. Here are a few tips to survive the holiday season.

  • Don’t bring home left overs or continue to eat the holiday treats around the house after a party.
  • Get back into the gym – no excuses.
  • Enjoy the special once-a-year homemade treats and pass on the generic red and green holiday M&Ms. They are still just M&Ms!
  • Allow yourself a treat, but don’t over do it.
  • Avoid the “Eh, whatever…..I’ll start over in January” mentality. The more damage you do now, the harder it will be come January.
