Well, those are just a few of the results that have been seen from CFG members doing the 30 day nutrition challenge. Here are the parameters around the challenge:
- $20 buy-in due to Jocelyn or Barry at CFG due by January 31st. We have found that a monetary commitment to a challenge helps incent participants to stick with it.
- In the past, we’ve done “Primal Challenges”, which means more leniency. This is a “Paleo Challenge” which means eliminating the following items
- Anything with added sugars, sweeteners, additives, colorings, artificial flavors.
- Processed foods, baked goods, soda, candy, etc.. etc…
- 100% Paleo means NO dairy or refined carbohydrates.
- No alcohol.
- Be wary of making all sorts of “Paleo muffins, cookies and pancakes” They still produce insulin spikes and still aren’t that great for you. It’s called a cookie for a reason, just because it has the word “Paleo” in front of it, doesn’t mean it’s good for you. Same goes for “Gluten Free”
- Create 3 goals for yourself to commit to for the 30 days. These goals must be “paleo nutrition” oriented. A goal to “lose 10 lbs” isn’t a goal we are looking for… instead make them attainable, specific and measurable like “No eating out” or “No eating in front of the TV” or “Try one new vegetable or recipe each week during the challenge” or “No coffee past noon.” If you would like help creating goals, speak with Barry or Jocelyn.
- If you report 100% success with the challenge, you get the $20 back. This is on the honor system, so be true to yourself and the challenge.
