We
are now 3 weeks into the Open and everyone is doing a really great job.
Many competitors are accomplishing things they never thought possible
and it's been really fun to watch everyone give their all week after
week with these challenging workouts. Everyone should be VERY proud!
    In
order to keep the spirit of The Open thriving, positive and fun for
all, we would like to clarify a few things based on a few instances that
have occurred over the past 3 weeks. There are two major groups that
are keeping this competition running (outside of the athletes) — the volunteer
judges and the spectators. Both are appreciated, as without these two
groups this competition would not be as fun or run as smoothly. With
that said, it's VERY hard to be a judge and we need to make sure our
judges are given the best environment to judge in.
    For the final two
workouts, we will have an athlete area and a spectator area, so athletes
and judges have their own space. In addition, we need to ask spectators
to allow the judges to do their job and NOT participate in the judging
of athletes. Judges have the final word in scores and judging. No
exceptions. Spectators are not to judge- please save your energy for
cheering and positive motivation to get the athletes through these
grueling workouts. Mark Sidorski and CFG Coaches are the only ones that
should be giving insight/instruction to judges. Period. If you have any
questions or concerns about this, please contact Jocelyn.  Athletes, if you would like to address a score discrepancy or judging incident, please do so with Jocelyn or Barry.
    Good
luck to everyone in the final 2 workouts. Let's keep the excitement of
the competition and camaraderie for all athletes positive and motivating
as we wrap up the Open!

DAILY TRAINING

5/3/1 Strength

Back Squat (90% + 20lbs)

95% x 1+

2nd Strength – 5pm and 6pm

Power Snatch

Work up to 90% x 1 x 4 sets.

Perform 15 Strict Pushups after each 90% set

WOD

2 rounds for reps:

1 minute DB Snatch Alternating (50/35)

1:30 minute Strict Pushups

2 minutes Row Calories
