The first week of a challenge can be exciting, overwhelming and everything in between. In addition to the emotional side of embarking on something new, there are changes going on physically as well. Depending on how unhealthy some of your habits were and how addicted your body was to those unhealthy habits – you could be faced with some unpleasant symptoms currently or in the near future. Fatigue, headaches, general fogginess and plain old yuckiness are the common ones. This is just your body adjusting to the new nutrition and repairing itself from the old junk. This is an important part of it, so let the body detox! Good news:bear with it, as it will subside. And not only that, the even better news is that what’s on the other side is increased energy, clearer minds, reset taste buds (it’s amazing how sweet fruit is again once taste buds are no longer desensitized by sugar!) and much more.
