The core is truly the center of your movement. The energy that you get for movements comes from the floor through your legs and into the core for distribution throughout the body. As the limbs move, it’s the job of the core to stabilize the body. To best strengthen the core, we do exercises that work stabilization like planks, hollow rocks and band/body weight exercises. In addition, in order to keep the body safe throughout movement think about your core and its role. Let it do its job by really being mindful of engaging the middle. Do this by pressing your belly button into your spine and keep strong through the core.
