One of the biggest things I see athletes doing incorrectly when
deaflifting is ripping the bar right off the ground. Don’t get me
wrong I appreciate the effort and enthusiasm but there are two things
that you need to think about first.
1) Mid-line stabilization. (See Mondays days post)
2) Create tension between you and the bar. Kelly Starrett uses the
example of towing a car from a ditch. You can’t just yank the car out
and expect nothing will happen to either the tow line or the car in the
ditch.
