CFG designates Tuesdays to interval work.  Why?  Well, there are several reasons but here are the most important:

  1. Self-Regulation – All athletes are under the same time domain and can regulate how hard they go during the interval.
  2. Intensity – Very similar to self-regulation.  You can go as hard as you want and put in the effort you want.  What you put into it is what you get out of it.
  3. Work Capacity – Nothing is better at developing work capacity at particular skills and movements than intervals.
  4. Load – Intervals allow athletes to push the weight a little heavier or do new skills that they are starting to develop because of the designated time domain.
  5. Fat Shredder – Intervals are far more superior than steady state cardio at burning fat.
