Sled pulling is such an important piece to the program at CFG. There are so many benefits – a few to mention in this little “Tip of the Day” include:

  • great general conditioning
  • a focus on the hams and glutes help balance out the strength ratio with the quads
  • dare I use the term “functional” fitness?… but it truly is
  • develops strength and power which translates nicely to lifts
  • low injury risk and also relatively low impact
  • gets us outside for a dose of vitamin D

A few tips include getting down low and using the body behind the push, not just the arms. Maintain a strong core, neutral spine and generate momentum with the body.
