CrossFit acts a standalone fitness program for most people.  However, there are some who like to also like to do other fitness type activities on the side.  This could range anywhere from doing bodybuilding style templates at LA Fitness or taking cycling classes at a local health club.  Whatever the case, be sure that you are not doing too much.  If you are at CFG 4+ times per week, I would rethink trying to add in another gym day unless it is for Yoga, which is great active recovery.  Hitting up CFG 4+ times per week and also performing other style programs on the side is setting yourself up for A LOT of issues.  Injury, chronic fatigue, irritability, inability to recover, constantly in a state of crazy muscular soreness, weight gain. sleeplessness, and loss of desire to exercise are all signs that you are doing too much.  Take a good look at your weekly exercise habits and make sure you are doing the right amount of exercise and not too much.  Because as you know, more is not better.  It’s actually worse…much much worse.
