When performing longer WODs with intervals and high volume reps, it is important to break up the reps so you don’t blow yourself out before getting to the later rounds or further into the intervals. Once a muscle is fatigued, it can take upwards of 2-3 minutes to recover and to be able to perform quality reps again. For instance, in today’s WOD, try doing 2 sets of 5 reps on the DB Hang Power Cleans. Rest about 10 seconds between sets to give your arms a break. You most likely will be able to stay efficient during the entire 8 minutes.
