To feed off of coach Barry’s tip on running it’s very important not to heel strike. What I mean by this is, when running you do not want to land heel-to-toe. This impact could over time cause wear and tear on your body. What I would suggest is working on creating a stride that forces your to land on your third, fourth and fifth toe. With the rotational mechanisms build into your bodies mechanics this will allow you to absorb the most impact and cause less stress on your body overall. Be careful when purchasing your new running shoes and make sure the heel cushion isn’t to big, this could cause a false impression that the shoe is absorbing the impact when it actually isn’t.
