Athletes listen up, do you want to create more power when you squat? Here’s the secret. When you start squatting load your posterior chain (hips and hamstrings) first. You can do this by pushing your butt back and keep your shins as vertical as possible throughout the entire movement. Keeping your shins vertical is the crucial part. When this happens you take the load off your knees (this is a bad thing) and put all the power in your hips (this is a good thing).
Vertical shins = More power. More Power = A good thing!
