Once all the scores are all officially in and the Open concludes, we’ll write up a formal wrap-up to the Open, but for now we just want to congratulate all of the athletes for a job well done. The Open athletes spent 5 weeks enduring some challenging workouts; testing their limits and achieving new feats.  We hope the challenges and frustrations you faced will only make you stronger and allow you to create some focused goals to work on this year. In addition, there were so many “firsts” during the last 5 weeks, we couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of you.

Thank you to our community for coming out and supporting the athletes as they attacked each WOD with fortitude. Also, a special thank you to Mark Sidorski, Anthony Holster and Joe Greiner for all the time and effort they put into each week to make the heats run so smoothly. Thanks to all the volunteer judges as well.

Open athletes: take a recovery week this week and focus on foam rolling and working out the stress of the Open. Go easy and take this week to recharge.
