Triceps strength is so crucial when it comes to pushing and pressing for two reasons. First, because your triceps are your assisting muscles in any compound pushing or pressing movements. Having strength in these secondary movers will really help improve these lifts. Second, because your triceps are smaller in size (typically) they burn out faster in more complex exercise. Bar dips are a great gymnastics exercise to isolate this much needed strength. This is definitely an exercise I wouldn’t sacrifice form on because half reps equals half results!
